Arko

Privacy Policy

effective 22 September 2026

The short version

Arko keeps your habits on your device and, if you turn on iCloud sync, in your own private iCloud database. Zo Apps runs no servers, has no account system, and cannot see your habits. The app contains no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs.

What Arko stores

For each habit you create, Arko stores:

  • the name and emoji you give it
  • which weekdays it is scheduled on
  • whether a reminder is on, and the reminder time
  • the accent colour you pick
  • the dates you marked it complete
  • its position in your list, and when it was created and last changed

Arko also keeps app settings on your device: your appearance choice and whether iCloud sync is on. None of this is sent to Zo Apps.

Where it lives

On your device. Habits are saved in the app's local database. Deleting the app deletes this copy.

In your iCloud (optional). When iCloud sync is on, Arko stores your habits in the private database of the app's iCloud container. That database belongs to your Apple Account: only devices signed in to it can read the data, and Zo Apps has no access to it. Apple processes this data under the Apple Privacy Policy and your iCloud terms. You can turn sync off at any time in the Profile screen.

Notifications

Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device, and only if you grant notification permission. Arko also registers for silent push notifications so iCloud can tell it when your habits changed on another device; these carry no habit content.

The web view

The Arko website offers a read-only view of your habits. To use it you sign in with your Apple Account through Apple's CloudKit JavaScript library, which reads the same private iCloud database. The site never writes to it.

To load quickly, the site keeps a copy of your habits, your last sign-in state, and your theme and layout preferences in your browser's local storage. Apple's library stores its sign-in token there too. The habit copy is cleared when you sign out, and you can remove everything by clearing the site's data in your browser. The site sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics. Like any website, the server that delivers the page may keep standard request logs (such as IP address and browser type).

Third parties

The only third party involved is Apple: iCloud for sync, the App Store for distribution, and Apple's notification service for reminders and sync pushes. Zo Apps does not sell, share, or receive your data.

Your control

  • Edit or delete any habit in the app; deletions sync to iCloud when sync is on.
  • Turn off iCloud sync in the Profile screen to stop syncing. The copy already in iCloud stays until you delete those habits, or remove Arko's data under Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Account Storage.
  • Delete the app to remove the on-device copy.
  • Sign out of the web view to clear its cached habits.

Children

Arko is not directed at children under 13 and, as described above, collects no personal information from anyone.
